Sandra F. Rosenbaum joined Littman Krooks LLP as a special education advocate in September 2013. Previously, Sandi worked as an independent education advocate in Westchester County, advising parents and communicating on their behalf with school districts on issues including evaluation, eligibility, placement (including out of district placements), program and testing modifications, and discipline, both within the special education system and under Section 504.
Sandi is an advocate member of the Council of Parents, Attorneys and Advocates (COPAA), having completed the Lay Advocacy Training program of the Advocacy Center in Rochester, NY. She is a past co-president of the Mamaroneck-Larchmont Special Education PTA, proudly serving on its board for 15 years, and served as a Parent Member of Mamaroneck’s Committees on Special Education and Preschool Special Education for 13 years, participating in hundreds of cases. Sandi served on the founding committee for Walk Now for Autism Speaks in Purchase, NY (known then as the National Alliance for Autism Research [NAAR]). She participates in the Westchester Special Needs Roundtable of UJA-Federation.
Sandi received her A.B. in economics, Cum Laude, from Harvard University. She worked for ten years in the financial services industry after graduating from college.
