New Guide Offers Relief for Parents, Guardians New to IEP Process

Autism Speaks, the Nation’s largest Autism science and advocacy organization has released a new guide which provides parents, guardians and families with information regarding how they can obtain special education services from their school district.

The guide covers an overview of the legal rights of parents, students and families with disabilities and guides the reader through the process of forming an Individualized Education Program, or IEP. Most of the information include in the guide can be applied to all students that qualify for special education.
